Science Cafe: Imaging the Developing Brain in Autism

New studies in autism suggest that brain scans during early infancy can accurate predict when children will go on to have autism. Joseph Piven, MD, the Thomas E. Castelloe Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the UNC School of Medicine and the director of the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities to discuss the possibilities this new research holds for early detection and treatment.
