Greetings. My name is Tim Chlopowicz I’m a resident of Cary since 2010.
I am a volunteer at Second Chance Pet Adoptions and thought you might be interested in covering an upcoming event. I have been doing a fundraiser Help Tim Save Animals for Second Chance for a couple years.
I’m excited to say we have now passed $40,000! To make this a fun way to save animals for every $1,000 I raise I get hit in the face with a pie!! Needless to say I’ve been clobbered many times fortunately 🙂
So many people have been so generous including our friend Lily Reed the owner of Once in a Blue Moon Bakery. They donate the pies for us and we currently have a local youth hockey team the Jr. Hurricanes 15U Red squad who made it their community project to help us. They have raised over $1,500 and also collected food and supplies to help us at a difficult time with all the shelters so full. This will help us fund our foster program and allow us to save the lives of more dogs and cats!
Coach Mike Cobb from the team has volunteered to take a pie to the face for the cause from the player who raises the most money. Our celebration will be this coming Saturday January 7th at 11:00 AM at the Second Chance office at 6003 Chapel Hill Road in Raleigh.
