Join us for a luncheon highlighting the impact of Susan G. Komen’s national research program on local and national breast cancer research. This unique event brings together scientists, survivors and supporters who are impacted by breast cancer to learn more about how funds are used to find the cures.

Luncheon will be noon-1:30 p.m.,Thursday, Nov. 9, at the William & Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Check in begins at 11:30 a.m. Individual tickets are $50 a person.

This year’s program will feature a compelling presentation by Dr. Daniel Hayes, Clinical Director of the Breast Oncology Program at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center and past President of ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncologists). Following the presentation, Dr. Hayes will be joined by fellow Komen Scholars Dr. Charles Perou of the University of North Carolina and Dr. Kimberly Blackwell of Duke Cancer Institute, as well as postdoctoral fellowship recipient Dr. Erika Crosby of Duke University Medical Center for a panel discussion.
