Join Ranger Billy on a hike where we will see some areas of the park rarely seen except for those willing to go off trail. We will explore the ruins of the old CCC camp and continue cross country to visit our rusting postcard truck as well as the oldest tombstone in the park. On the way back, we will walk alongside Crabtree Creek and enjoy some beautiful terrain, in an area where otters play, across from the Beech Natural Area. This hike is about 4 to 4.5 miles and has some strenuous parts. Call the Visitor Center to register 919-571-4170.
