For the second year in a row, Jon Frey will run for 24 continuous hours at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery to raise money for Healing Transitions. Last year, Jon and his friends and supporters helped raise over $30,000 to support Healing Transitions’ work.
Jon entered Healing Transitions’ long-term recovery program in August 2016 and has been in sustained recovery since then. Running has played an important role in his life, even before recovery. Once he began the program at Healing Transitions, he started using long-distance running as a too for his recovery and has since completed five 100-mile ultra marathons and 9 other marathons under 100 miles. Today, Jon dedicates his life to fitness, helping others in their recovery and giving back to his community.
Jon will begin his run at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 21st and will run until 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 22nd. There will be great food, music, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
