The Raleigh Boychoir

Feb 18, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

On February 18, the Raleigh Boychoir will host Kidznotes and area elementary honors choral students in a workshop with internationally renowned choral conductor, Henry Leck. A free concert at Daniels Magnet Middle School will follow the workshop.

Each year the Raleigh Boychoir produces its American Music Festival through generous contribution from The Fowler Foundation, which combines a choral workshop for area singers with a free concert spotlighting music composed and arranged by Americans.

This year the Festival will showcase the Raleigh Boychoir’s Performing Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble. These are the 49-year old choir’s most senior and experienced vocalists. Artistic excellence is a hallmark of the Raleigh Boychoir and this carries through in its chosen partners for this event. For the first time, the Raleigh Boychoir will collaborate with Kidznotes, Inc., a leader in youth music education in the Triangle. Additionally, the Festival will engage area honors elementary boy vocalists. For the second time in recent years, the Raleigh Boychoir will work with internationally recognized choral conductor, Henry Leck, a specialist in the boy’s changing voice.

The 3 pm concert is free to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at http://www.raleighboychoir.org/performances/. For more information contact raleighboychoir@gmail.com.
