Several philanthropic groups that support Western Wake County charities are accepting requests for grants. Local nonprofits are encouraged to apply, but time is short. Deadlines for these applications are fast approaching — July 31 and Aug. 7.

- The Cary Community Foundation awards grants to nonprofits that serve general charitable needs in Cary. Grant amounts typically range from $1,000 to $2,500. The deadline for submitting applications is noon July 31.
- The Morrisville Community Fund supports nonprofits that serve charitable needs in Morrisville. The deadline for submitting applications is noon July 31.
- The Women’s Fund of North Carolina supports nonprofits that sponsor programming that aids women and or families, with emphasis on women’s health and leadership. Grant amounts typically range from $1,000 to $3,000. The deadline for submitting applications is noon Aug. 7.
The three groups are affiliated with the North Carolina Community Foundation but are led by local volunteers and community leaders.
