Western Wake sure knows how to do the bunny hop. From breakfast with the bunny to egg hunts, even to a community yard sale, here’s your guide to all things Easter, happening this weekend!

CARY

Breakfast with the Bunny

Saturday, March 28, 8:30 a.m.

Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Kiwanis Shelter  

The Cary Teen Council hosts this continental breakfast featuring muffins, donuts, fruit and more. Best of all, the Easter Bunny will be available for photos and videos!

Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance at the Herbert C. Young Community Center. Tickets are $4 for those age 10 and older, and $3 for ages 3 to 9. Children 2 and younger are admitted free.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m.

Fred G. Bond Metro Park

Children ages 10 and younger are invited to join the town’s 24th annual Easter Egg Hunt, featuring three hunt areas for different age groups. Bring your own basket, and also enjoy ongoing entertainment and meet the Cary Police and Fire Departments at the Boathouse. Refreshments and face painting will be available for a fee.  

The morning hunt for ages 3 and younger starts at 10 a.m.; ages 4 to 6 at 10:20 a.m.; and ages 7 to 10 at 10:40 a.m.

The afternoon hunt for ages 3 and younger begins at 1:30 p.m.; ages 4 to 6 at 1:50 p.m.; and ages 7 to 10 at 2:10 p.m.

After both the morning and afternoon hunts, magician Scott Shelton stars in a free magic show, at 11 a.m., and 2:30 p.m.

Easter Eggstravaganza

Thursday, April 2, 6 to 8 p.m.

Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Field 4

Children 12 years and younger with special needs, developmental and/or physical disabilities are invited to this special egg hunt, featuring fun activities, bounce house, entertainment and the chance to meet the Easter Bunny. This event is free, but registration is encouraged, online using EZ-REG Web or at a staffed Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facility.

Egg hunts will be held for age 7 and under from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and for ages 8 to 12 from 7 to 7:30 p.m. townofcary.org

Cosmic Easter Bounce & Egg Hunt

Friday, April 3, 7 to 9 p.m.

Spring Fling and Community Yard Sale

A community yard sale runs from 8 a.m. to noon; preregistration to sell items is required, by calling (919) 557-9603.

Next up is the Spring Fling, from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring games, inflatables, music and more.
