John Deere’s turf and utility portion of its worldwide Agriculture & Turf Division plowed its plot of 65 acres in Cary in 2000. According to company spokesperson Maureen McCormack, operations such as sales and marketing, government and national sales, supply management, customer and dealer call centers are conducted at the Cary campus.
By October, the company plans to move its Southeast Engineering Center operations in Charlotte to its office in Cary to better utilize resources and facilities here, adding about 90 jobs. “This action helps John Deere continue as a strong employer in North Carolina as we focus on serving customers through improved use of company assets and finances,” said John May, global vice president of Deere’s turf and utility platform.
