Jennifer Holland
Holl & Main Boutique
An introduction: Holl & Main is a women’s clothing boutique catering to the everyday woman. We provide styles for working women, stay at home moms and everything in between. Whether you need a new blazer, a casual outfit, or wedding-guest attire, we’ve got you covered.
Inspiration: Our customers keep me passionate. I love the excitement around a new collection and seeing women feel more confident in themselves by wearing our styles. I’m also extremely passionate about giving back. I love that our biannual fashion show is able to raise so much money for the National MS Society.
Biggest risk: Leaving my corporate job to open Holl & Main was one of the scariest things I have done. The reward has been so worth it!
Core values: Even when I managed teams in the corporate world, I believed the people were most important. Without good people, nothing is possible. The same is true with our boutique. I trust and empower my team to make decisions on their own and create new ideas for us to continue growing!
Greatest challenge: The biggest challenge has been growing our audience outside of the Raleigh/Durham area. …The cool thing about having a brick-and-mortar and an online store is that we’re able to cater to people across the country.
We’ve expanded our reach by partnering with Social Cents Media which helped us create better, more efficient marketing strategies. That led to a feature on WRAL to discuss how a diagnosis with MS led to my career change!
On success: Success isn’t defined by money or a job. It is defined by hard work, happiness, good health and helping others.
Fun fact: I’ve been skydiving twice, both times in Australia.
