About:
Inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Through a combination of running, group activities, individual goal setting, and a community service project, girls are taught values that lead to a confident sense of self.
The goals of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, and physical development. Girls celebrate their end of season accomplishments by participating in a 5k (3.1 mile) walk/run event, supported and cheered on by their families, friends, and the community.
A chapter of Girls on the Run International, it serves more than 1,000 girls per year.
