About: The Triangle Literacy Council’s Mission is to advance and support academic, economic, and life success for children, youth, and adults facing barriers to success through multifaceted literacy education and life skills training. For over 50 years, the Triangle Literacy Council has been serving individuals and families in the Triangle region with literacy and basic skills programming to improve lives and increase the potential for success. We provide literacy programming across a broad spectrum of individuals and families including youth and adults involved with the juvenile justice system, those who are unemployed, children who are behind in school, and non-native English speakers wishing to learn the English language. We provide one-on-one tutoring, financial literacy, work experience and job training opportunities, ESL, life skills, and civics education.
