Meet an “American Ninja” this weekend at the Community Summer Social in Holly Springs!

Local celebrity Devin Harrelson, aka Dougie Fresh of NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” will be on hand for the family-friendly event. Harrelson lives in Fuquay-Varina, and owns a business in Cary.

Also happening are a live animal program; a visit with a fire truck; and a chance to pot a plant with a local nursery.

Kids will enjoy bounce houses, bubbles and face painting, while everyone can get in on the watermelon eating contest.

Grab lunch at one of the food trucks handy, and let that remind you of the give-back part of the event, a food drive for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Bring your food donation!

The Community Summer Social takes place on Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Rainbow Child Care Center/Little Pros Academy, 300 Earnie Lane in Holly Springs.
